BIOBASED FRAMES

To achieve IZIPIZI's goal of 30% of their models being biosourced by the end of 2023, IZIPIZI #M and #N frames are produced with a 45% castor oil biosourced material.

This does not only mean they use less fossil-based materials, but this high-performance polyamide is also light and robust, guaranteeing comfort for this new Oversize line.

REDUCING OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET

Izipizi aims to halve the carbon footprint of their glasses.

To meet this challenge, they began by learning from a Carbon Audit, to identify specific areas in which we can take action to improve the environmental impact of the business:
- Adopting more environmentally friendly transport methods,

- reinventing sales methods, and

- helping our partners reduce their carbon footprint.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A CARBON AUDIT?

A Carbon Audit involves assessing the direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by a business as part of its yearly activities.  

GHG emissions are measured in CO2 (carbon dioxide) and are classified in three major categories:

Scope 1: direct emissions

Scope 2: indirect emissions linked to use of electricity, heat, etc.

Scope 3: other indirect emissions linked to materials purchased to manufacture glasses, transport, packaging, employee transport, etc.
